Holmgren's Permaculture:Principles & Pathways Beyond Sustainability Stamet's Mycelium Running and Starhawk's The Earth Path from Wild Thyme Farm The Wild Thyme Farm invites you to the scenic Chehalis Valley, WA, for monthly workshops on permaculture and stewardship forestry. Each hands-on workshop focuses on season specific projects such as orchard maintenance, food gardening, forest management, food preservation, wildlife habitat enhancement, making value-added products, natural building, and other strategies of landcare. They have 150 acres of land. Dates and Themes 2006, (first half) 5/6 Native Landscape Restoration noxious weed control, wildlife habitat 6/16 Organic Gardening, early summer planting summer vegetables, culinary herbs, garden medicinals This workshop will be from 10-2pm with lunch to follow. You may show up at 9am for a free tour, which is optional. All workshops are free and begin at 10 am. Please bring gloves, weather appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes or boots, safety glasses, tools, voluntary potluck item The farm will provide a hearty mid-afternoon lunch.
